How to Subscribe to the Meadow Brook Church Podcast

Every Monday, we post the audio from the most recent Sunday morning sermon to our website!  If you had to miss church, or would just like to hear it again, it’s a great resource!

In order to make it even easier, we’ve set up our Sunday morning sermon in “podcast” format! We have set this up via iTunes, an Apple product.

What is a podcast?  It’s a digital service that you subscribe to, where the sermon will automatically download to your phone or tablet or computer every week! You don’t need to go looking for it on our website, and you don’t need to sit by an internet connection or wifi while you listen!  Once we upload the sermon (usually on Monday mornings), the message will automatically download to your computer/device!  You can set it up so it only downloads when you’re connected to the Internet via cable or WiFi; then, if you’re downloading it to something portable, you can take it with you in the car or on a jog or as you go about your day, and since it’s downloaded already, you can listen to wherever you are without using any data!

How to do this? Easy, just follow the instructions below! (If you know all this stuff already, you can just go directly to the podcast by using this link, and go from there!: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/podcast/meadow-brook-church/id1122691237?mt=2

To set up on any computer:

1. If you don’t have it, you will need to download the program iTunes. Find it here! http://www.apple.com/ca/itunes/download/
2. Once this is done, open up iTunes.
3. In the iTunes search bar (top right corner), search for “Meadow Brook Church”
4. A list of podcasts will come up, and a few “Meadow Brook”s will pop up (we’re not the only ones out there!). Our church is the one with our logo, and it has an image of white headphones. Click on the image!
5.  Our podcast will pop up! There will be a list of all our recent sermons. On the left, again is the image that you just clicked on, with the word “Subscribe” underneath. Click on “Subscribe”, and you’re on your way! 

To set up on an Apple phone/tablet/device: 

1. You should have a “Podcast” icon already as a default on your device! Press it!
2. Search for “Meadow Brook Church”. Our podcast will pop up! Select the image!
3. Select “Subscribe” and you’re done!  New sermons will download here, and you can also download older ones as well!
4. In your “Settings”, find “Podcasts” and set it up the way you like. Most of us would want to make sure that it only downloads when on WiFi, so that we don’t use up data! There are other preference settings you can choose as well!

To set up on a non-Apple phone/tablet/device:

Every brand is different, so rather than trying to write out different instructions for every single brand out there, we’ll encourage you to Google, “Listening to iTunes podcasts on my (insert whatever your brand/device is)”! (e.g. “Listening to iTunes podcasts on my Samsung Galaxy 5”). The internet will bring you through it!
