We're a multi-generational church made up of people from different backgrounds and from all walks in life. At Meadow Brook, we want to make it easy for people to get involved and connected with each other, and to feel welcome no matter what age or background! Every weekend, we come together as a church on Sunday mornings for worship and Biblical teaching. We present God's Word in an accessible way through music and teaching that connects with people's lives. What brings us and binds us together is our desire to be a community of people shaped by the Gospel, who love Jesus, each other, and our city.
In 1931, a few immigrant families from Eastern Europe came together and founded the Leamington Mennonite Brethren Church. Originally, they met in homes and eventually in rented downtown establishments. As the church grew, the need for a permanent home led the church to build its first facility in 1939. In 1965, the church moved to its current location on Talbot street.
By the mid-2000s, the Mennonite Brethren Church had gone through exponential growth, building expansions and a name change. Now called Meadow Brook Church, the church is home to a large group from all ages and backgrounds.
Through the years and all its changes, Meadow Brook remains committed to being a light in our community, a place centred on the gospel, where we gather in worship and to grow God's kingdom throughout Leamington & beyond.
It is a great time for Meadow Brook! Over the past two years, we have been growing and gone through exciting changes. As we face the challenge of outgrowing our building, we started a second Sunday morning gathering in the fall of 2016. This move will allow us to continue to grow as we seek God's direction for Meadow Brook. As we look ahead, we're excited for what lies ahead of us and how God will continue to use our church for His glory in our community.
